Solids & Stripes, a modern-day home

This apartment in the iconic Ireo victory valley towers of Gurugram is designed to serve as a welcome refuge for the family from the harshness of city life. The brief from the Jains was to keep it simple and subtle, which was addressed with minimalistic concepts and a timeless elegant aesthetic.

The colour palette of this home was carefully chosen with each room given a characteristic pastel colour theme. The existing white doors and door frames inspired the language of the interiors. Different aspirations of the husband and wife were balanced and fused to create an aesthetic of ‘solids and stripes’.

Imagine a place to dream, to get inspired and to recharge – that is home!

Design Process

Shades of blue of the sofa fabric and the dining chairs set a relaxed tone for the living room against the white walls and marble floor. Splashes of red, textures of polished wood and stone complement and contrast with the blues giving the space its characteristic vibrance. Designs of all the pieces of furniture were curated with the client’s tastes in mind and a sense of understated style.
